Friday Letters - 1st & 2nd Grade, Ms. Pinto and Ms. Copland
May 30, 2008
Dear First and Second Grade Families,
We can’t believe that we are only a week away from the end of the school year. We have had a fantastic year filled with lots of growing, exploring, critical thinking, and let’s not forget, tons of good times! Our amazing first and second grade students created a beautiful community of friendship and of learning. We are so very proud of every child. They have challenged themselves academically and socially in ways that we could only hope.
To celebrate the end of a school year we would like to invite you to join us for the first and second grade publishing/drama party on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 1:45 pm. The children will perform two plays and share with you their “All About Books”. They have worked incredibly hard on these books and are ready to read them to you. Be prepared to be WOWED by the creativity, research, amazing detail and time each child has put into their non-fiction writing. We look forward to sharing this special celebration with you.
We also want to take a moment to thank all of you for your support and time over the course of the year. We appreciate all of the field trip drivers and chaperones, homework and choice helpers, and all of the classroom organizing and miscellaneous support. We couldn’t have done it with out you, thank you all so very much!
